The Space

Welcome to The Swallows Retreat, a luxury self-catering property nestled in the lovely Glenmore valley at the foot of the Cooley Mountains, just a 12-minute drive from Carlingford Village. Recently refurbished to the highest standard, this spacious property sleeps up to 22 guests across four beautifully appointed house bedrooms and two cozy glamping pods, making it perfect for large hen parties, birthday celebrations, or family gatherings.

The house features a fully-fitted kitchen with utility room, a welcoming lounge and dining room, a TV lounge, and a large sitting room ideal for group get-togethers. Each bedroom is comfortable and well-equipped: Bedroom 1 offers a king bed and single with garden views, Bedroom 2 has two king beds with mountain views, Bedroom 3 features three double beds with ensuite, and Bedroom 4 has two king beds with mountain views. The two glamping pods each sleep two in single beds and have their own ensuite facilities.

Outside, enjoy the six-person hot tub, pool table, barbeque area, and enclosed garden with lovely walks and stunning mountain views. Everything is supplied — there are no extras to worry about.

Check-in is at 16:00, and ample free parking is available on-site. The property is a 12-minute scenic drive from Carlingford, with Dundalk and Newry both within 20 minutes for essential shopping.

What to Expect

1. Arrival
   Upon arrival, you will find generous parking on-site. Access the property using the lockbox at the front door, and settle into your luxury home away from home.
2. Settling In
   Inside, you will discover a beautifully furnished space with everything provided. The kitchen is fully equipped for catering to large groups, and the multiple living areas mean there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax.
3. During Your Stay
   Make the most of the hot tub, pool table, and garden area. Take scenic walks right from the doorstep, or drive 12 minutes to Carlingford Village to explore its pubs, restaurants, and activities. We can also arrange in-house activities and catering for your group.
4. Departure
   Check-out is at 11:00. Please leave the keys in the lockbox and we hope you take home wonderful memories from your stay!
