The Cookery School at Ghan House was established in 1993 by proprietor Joyce Carroll. Now in our 26th year,
we hold private courses tailored for groups ~ corporate, hen weekend or a family group simply wanting a course for themselves.
You make a meal with instruction & help from the experts. This will be developed into creating your lunch or 3 course dinner to be eaten at Ghan House.
Our chefs will demonstrate and advise on many aspects of cookery in our specially designed Ballroom kitchen.

We bring in 2 guest chefs for our cookery courses – Niamh Connolly & Ronan Lawless. Niamh comes to us with a wealth of experience having worked in the Michelin star L’Ecrivain kitchen as well as the Nuremore Hotel. Niamh has also spent that last 5 years teaching cookery at VEC’s; however her ambition is to some day
open her own tea rooms serving homemade cakes and pastries! Ronan has worked in the industry for twenty years. His experience has been gained by travelling and working abroad;- New Zealand, India, North Africa, Spain , Holland to name a few.
