Terms and Conditions

Visit Carlingford act only as a Booking Agent on behalf of the customer. Any booking made or order placed by you, whether through the Company’s website or otherwise, shall be deemed an offer by you to purchase the services offered by various suppliers. Visit Carlingford only facilitate this arrangement.

Visit Carlingford cannot be held responsible for the actions of customer or Home Owner or any consequences resulting there from.

Booking Confirmation

In order to confirm a booking we require a;

  • €100 Non Refundable Security Deposit per property with rental under €250
  • €200 Non Refundable Security Deposit per property with rental over €250
  • The individual making the booking and paying the deposit is responsible for the entire booking, providing final numbers and ensuring full, correct payment is made.
  • Therefore, if there are any issues regarding the booking, it is the responsibility of this individual to answer to the issue.
  • In turn, we are only required to deal with the person who made the booking, when dealing with any issues or complaints.

Payment Methods

  • Bank Transfer

One total amount to be paid into Visit Carlingford account 2 weeks prior to arrival

  • Credit/Debit Card

If needed, you can use this payment method up to 2 week prior to arrival.

Please note, a service charge of approximately 3% will be incurred.

  • Cash on Arrival

We will accept this form of payment ensuring that;

One full amount is gathered, in Euro, prior to arrival and paid on entry to the property.

With this payment method, arrival time to the Property is no later than 5pm on any given day.

4pm on Public/National Holidays.

Booking Conditions

NUMBER OF PERSONS

The maximum number of persons allowed in each property is shown in the individual house description. Additional persons cannot be accommodated unless otherwise agreed with Visit Carlingford and the Property Owner.

The property owners reserve the right to terminate the hire without notice and without refund for a breach of this condition.

OCCUPATION

If the property owner is prevented by circumstances beyond his/her control from making the property available and cannot provide a suitable alternative, he/she will refund all monies paid by you.

On this occasion, Visit Carlingford in endeavor to organize alternative accommodation at a similar cost.

APPLIANCES

Such as TV’s, Wi-Fi, washing machines, tumble dryers, fridge/freezers, dishwashers, showers, microwaves, toasters, CD and DVD players and/or BBQ’s cannot be guaranteed in the event of a breakdown during your stay but everything will be done to repair or replace the item as soon as possible.

BREAKAGES/DAMAGES

Please contact Visit Carlingford to report any damage or breakages which may occur during your stay. We reserve the right to make a charge on behalf of any owner who needs to claim for damages that may be incurred by the hirers in occupation during their holiday, this includes damage/staining to linen or towels and missing items.

SECURITY

Windows and doors must be kept securely closed and locked at all times when the property is not being occupied.

Cancellation

  • Cancellation is required 4 weeks prior to your arrival date.
  • Should you cancel under the 4 week period, your deposit and any monies paid to that point will be lost.

Property Ownership & Responsibility

  • Visit Carlingford is a booking agent and third party, we are not the property owners.
  • Within Office Hours, we will do our upmost to uphold our responsibility with the customer and ensure communication is made to the Property Owner or Caretaker.
  • We will provide you with correct information as we are given it by the property owner.
  • However, it is the responsibility of the property owner to provide us with correct information on the house layout, provision of facilities and utensils, availability calendar etc.
  • Also, the responsibility of heating, hot water, internet access and general maintenance falls with the property owner.
  • Visit Carlingford is not responsible for any changes of which we have not been made aware.
  • Visit Carlingford provide each guest with Contact Information for our office and the Property Owner or Caretaker should any issues arise.
  • Outside office hours, Visit Carlingford cannot be contacted regarding any household issues.

Complaint/Dispute

  • Should you have a complaint about the property, please make us aware immediately or prior to your departure.
  • If the issue arises outside out office hours, please contact the Property Owner/Caretaker provided to you on arrival.
  • We will do our best to ensure the issue is resolved.
  • However, if we cannot sufficiently resolve the issue, we will pass your details onto the property owner.
  • Customers must directly engage with the supplier to resolve any property issues.

Payment Option

GoGroup Online Payment

  • You will receive an email allowing you to invite each member via their email.
  • They will log in and pay one full amount individually.
  • It is the bookers responsibility to make group members aware of payment amount and closing date.
  • A closing date is added so full payment is required 2 weeks prior to arrival.

For any group member unpaid beyond this date a €10 penalty per day will be incurred.

Carlingford Adventure Centre

  • Final numbers are required 3 weeks prior to your arrival date.
  • The most recent final numbers provided will be charged for.

All other Activities

  • Final Numbers are required, along with final payment, 2 weeks prior to arrival.

Weather / Unforeseeable Circumstances

  • VisitCarlingford is a third party booking agent only. We are not responsible for any unseen weather
  • Should the weather affect the ability to do any activity, it is up to the individual activity provider to make a decision on an alternative or to provide a refund.

DINING/CATERING

We, at Visit Carlingford, do our upmost to cater to preferences and times for our customers as best we can.

However, sometimes, last minute amendments need to be made by the venue and we will provide as much notice as we receive.

On the occasion that you are not satisfied will your dining/catering experience, please make the restaurant/delivery service aware of this at that time.

We cannot be responsible for the quality of food provided by them and it is very difficult to deal with this issue long after it has arisen.

It is expected that you arrive to your dining venue on time. Should you be late for your reservation, this reservation may be lost.

Activity Provider Complaint /Dispute

  • Visit Carlingford is a booking agent and third party that manages your booking for the activity provider.
  • Should any issue occur on the side of the Activity Provider that results in cancellation, failure to provide the activity properly, a bad service etc. This responsibility lies with the Activity Provider.
  • We, at Visit Carlingford, will do our upmost to ensure any issue is resolved but this essentially is between the customer and the activity provider.
  • Customers must directly engage with the supplier to resolve any property issues.

Cancellation

  • Cancellation is required 4 weeks prior to your arrival date.
  • Should you cancel under the 4 week period, your deposit and any payments made up to that point will be lost.

Visit Carlingford cannot be held responsible for the actions of Customer or Activity Provider or any consequences resulting there from.

Booking Confirmation

  • At Visit Carlingford, we do not provisionally hold any bookings.
  • A €50 non-refundable deposit (per activity) is required to confirm a booking.
  • This deposit is then deducted from your overall total.
  • The individual making the booking and paying the deposit is responsible for the entire booking, providing final numbers and ensuring full, correct payment is made.

Payment Options

Bank Transfer

  • One total amount to be paid into Visit Carlingford account 1 week prior (3 weeks for Carlingford Adventure Centre Activities) to arrival

GoGroup Online Payment

  • You will receive an email allowing you to invite each member via their email.
  • They will log in and pay one full amount individually.
  • A closing date is added so full payment is required 1 week prior to arrival.

(3 weeks for Carlingford Adventure Centre Activities)

For any group member unpaid beyond this date a €10 per day will be incurred.

Cancellation

Carlingford Adventure Centre

Cancellation of your activity must be made 3 weeks in advance or full payment is required/retained.

All Other Activities

Cancellation of your activity must be made 1 week in advance or full payment is required/retained.

On any occasion, if your activity/activities are cancelled after confirming, your deposit is lost.

Activity Provider

Visit Carlingford is a booking agent and third party that manages your booking for the activity provider.

Should any issue occur on the side of the Activity Provider that results in cancellation, failure to provide the activity properly, a bad service etc. This responsibility lies with the Activity Provider.

We, at Visit Carlingford, will do our upmost to ensure any issue is resolved but this essentially is between the customer and the activity provider.

Weather / Unforeseeable Circumstances

Visit Carlingford is a third party booking agent only.

Should the weather affect the ability to do any activity, it is up to the individual activity provider to make a decision on an alternative or to provide a refund. As we are acting only as a booking agent we have no liability for any of the travel arrangements and in particular any liability for any illness, personal injury, death or loss of any kind.
